A Curious Crab
This little guy was hanging out on the beach in the evening. He was curious and allowed my boys to pick him up and explored their sand sifter. The world to him is so very big. Yet he came out of his hole in the ground as the sun began to go down and merrily went about his way.
He wasn't afraid of what tomorrow might bring. He didn't run from outstretched hands. He trusted and allowed life to unfold the way it would, regardless.
This picture makes me smile. The openness and curiosity of a random crab found on our evening walk on the beach on the last night of our vacation.
I am embracing this way of being. My goal for the remainder of the summer, at least. Greet each day, or night, with wide eyes and open arms (or claws.) Skitter and scamper and explore. Come out of my hole where I feel safest. And know that whatever is meant to be will be.
My job is to find joy and meaning in each moment. And allow life to ebb and flow with the pull of the moon. As it has for centuries. The Earth knows what she is doing. And nature all around me has my back.
