Kindness Ripples

Making the world a better place can seem like an insurmountable task. Afterall, what can one person alone do to bring about real change? But even small acts can greatly impact others. A warm smile, friendly wave, holding a door open. These may seem like no big deal but for some it can completely change their day.

I’ve experienced acts of kindness that have stuck with me for years. When my oldest was just a toddler an elderly couple in a restaurant we ate at while on vacation paid for my family’s food bill without us knowing. Another time while we were headed out of town, a person in the drive through line ahead of us paid for our coffee and donuts. They were small gestures of kindness, but they filled my heart with so much gratitude I still remember how wonderful it made me feel several years later. I made sure to pay it forward as well.

Recently I’ve had some setbacks with the upcoming release of the second book in my middle grade series. It’s been frustrating and I’ve felt defeated. A friend and fellow author reached out to me and offered to meet for dinner. She provided so much insight and shared some great opportunities to help market my books. It had been a very hard week and I was feeling like throwing in the towel. But her kindness helped empower me and gave me the motivation to keep moving forward. I am happy to report that the issues have been resolved and the book is set to release tomorrow as planned.

I am excited to share this upcoming book with the world. I think it’s my best work so far and I believe it has the power to greatly change lives for the better. It’s available on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, and IngramSpark. Check out the links under the books tab if you would like to order it, or if you want a signed copy just send me an email by filling out the form under the contact tab.

Don’t forget that what you do has the power to change lives. Every small act of kindness creates an endless ripple effect that extends beyond what you could ever imagine. So offer up compliments, smile at strangers, and share your beautiful heart with the world. Not only will it change others’ lives, but it will also change your own.
